Josef’s School of Hair, Skin & Body’s financial aid representative will help you find the options available to you. Students enrolled in most programs are eligible to apply for federal financial assistance through Title IV of the higher Education Act, which includes federal grants (which do not have to be repaid) and low-cost federal loans (with payments beginning after you have been out of school for six months). Our professional staff can help determine if you qualify. We are eager to help you determine the option(s) that will assist you in achieving your goals.
In addition to being fully accredited by NACCAS and the Department of Education Josef’s School of Hair, Skin & Body is recognized as an eligible training provider by Job Service ND for the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA), ND Vocational Rehabilitation, ND Career Builders Scholarship, Rural MN CEP and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to name a few. Ready to fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), click here to get started. If you have never filled out of FAFSA you will first be required to create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID and password. If you have previously filled out a FAFSA click here to update or renew. If you are a “Dependent” student as determined by FAFSA your parent or guardian will also be required to create an FSA ID and password in order to sign and successfully submit your FAFSA.

Once submitted your FAFSA will take three to five days to process. Once received Josef’s School of Hair, Skin & Body’s Financial Aid Office will be in contact with you regarding your potential federal aid eligibility.
ENTRANCE AND EXIT COUNSELING FOR STUDENT LOAN BORROWERS
If the financial aid department sent you an email, you are set to utilize the Direct Student Loan(s) through the Department of Education. The loans are guaranteed to you, however there are some important things that each student needs to complete before the funds are able to be released.

Entrance Counseling: Entrance counseling ensures you understand the terms and conditions of your loan and your rights and responsibilities. You’ll learn what a loan is, how interest works, your options for repayment, and how to avoid delinquency and default.

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the national database of information about loans and grants awarded to students under Title IV of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965, as amended. NSLDS provides a centralized, integrated view of Title IV loans and grants during their complete life cycle, from aid approval through disbursement, repayment, deferment, delinquency, and closure.
